Precision Gear Grinding, Milling & Machining - Hofler CNC Gear Grinder

Controlled by torque motor precision, the Gear Grinder at Geographe powers through the task of grinding gears of up to 1500mm diameter with the highest accuracy and quality finish.  The revolutionary table drive technology replaces the old worm and wheel indexing system improving grinding precision, thereby producing smoother, quieter running gearing.  Recent commissioning trials at Geographe produced a gear of DIN 1 quality, the highest rating. 

The end benefit to Geographe customers is:

  1. Better load distribution per tooth giving higher torque capability.
  2. Less wear meaning much longer life.
  3. Better tooth mesh and finish offering lower noise output.
Precision Grinding - Robotically Loaded CNC Cylindrical Grinder

With the built in intelligence of an automated measuring system, Geographe’s between centres cylindrical grinder is accurate and provides extreme reliability.  The machine is capable of measuring its own output with a probe and grinds to a minimum tolerance of 0.003mm. It can grind parts of 50mm-200mm diameter, up to 1650mm in length and weighing up to 250kg. 

Machining - Robotic Machining Centre

Geographe Enterprises operates a Robotic Turning Centre which features a 120 tool carousel.  It is a multifunctional turning centre, capable of economically producing a single item batch.  Geographe has made further unique customisations to the Integrex, so that it is a sophisticated centre that performs milling and machining.  It can run unattended and features automatic loading with interchangeable jaws and robotic arms.  This allows the centre to perform quick job turnarounds especially in high batch numbers on products such as pins and bushes.   The technology replaces extensive NC and manual machining capabilities such as NC lathes, manual and NC borers and other specialised equipment.

Milling - Okuma MA600 Horizontal Machining Centre & Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV)

Investment in technology continues with Geographe’s state of the art milling centre.  The centre complements the automation process by being able to provide complex milling operations, rapid tool changes, fast cycle times and automated palette changes.  The milling centre and other automated processes are integrated by an Automatic Guided Vehicle (AGV) transport system.  Both the unattended milling centre and AGV represent Geographe’s commitment to being at the forefront of innovative engineering to reduce costs and decrease lead time.
