Drafting & Design
To design fit-for purpose gears, Geographe’s Product Development team use the latest design software to create precision gearing including ‘Solid Works - 3D Modelling Drafting Software’.  This three dimensional modelling design and drafting software package allows components and assemblies to be assessed for correct fit before manufacture.  To complement this package, Geographe uses gear calculation and load carrying capacity software to ensure that parts that are manufactured for a specific purpose will meet performance standards in field applications. For example, ‘Geartrax’ software calculates tooth geometry and form meshing with mating parts so that when coupled with ‘Solidworks’ it can generate accurate 3D gear tooth from models.  And ‘Kisssoft’ is gear analysis software that calculates tooth geometry and strength for gear sets which allows gear design optimisation to suit the application.
