The Geographe Product Development team currently has over 100 years combined experience in engineering, drafting, manufacturing, trade skills, metallurgy, design, failure analysis, patents and information capture. It prides itself employing the latest technologies both in production facilities and office environments; and the product development division is no exception. Through making the transition from manual drafting to 2D computer drafting; and then to 3D solid modelling drafting and design, Geographe has remained at the forefront of new technologies in the field. As each technology has become available - Geographe has adopted it. The company has now been using 3D modelling software for over 10 years and are proficient at achieving the most optimal results for our clients.

Engineering

- Highly experienced at re-engineering and refining standard components for improved life, easier servicing and/or increased safety
Intellectual Property
- Significant data base of drawings for a wide range of products including a catalogue listing of over 20,000 drawn, manufacturable items (i.e. gears, pins, bushes)
Reverse Engineering
- New and worn components of all types including Gears, castings, forgings and general manufactured parts.
- Precision measuring equipment including a mobile coordinate measuring machine which can be used for rapid capture of parts.
- Experienced personnel to capture details of components and verify the capture of accurate information.
Analysis
- Finite element analysis Package – Used to analyse statically stressed components (e.g. lift frames)
- Gear design software – used to analyse and rate the strength of gears and/or gear sets
