Testing & Performance Analysis

Geographe systematically tests and analyses the performance of manufactured components and repair work to ensure all products and services meet the highest quality assurance standards.  It uses mechanical, chemical and dimensional tests on applications such as hydraulics, gearboxes, wear components and sealing faces to demonstrate that specification conformance has been achieved.  Assemblies that have been overhauled and repaired are extensively tested prior to despatch to ensure full functionality has been restored and that they comply with manufacturer specifications and standards.

As well as performing testing and analysis as part of its internal processes to ensure quality, Geographe can also supply testing and performance analysis services to external clients.

Geographe records all testing procedures, dimensional or otherwise, using Geographe System Controlled Documents, which have been developed specifically for this purpose. Internal records are maintained by the Geographe Quality Department for Quality System and traceability purposes, however dedicated ‘Test Reports’ can be prepared for clients  provided they are requested at the time of order.  These include ‘Dimensional Inspection Reports’, ‘Gearbox Assembly Reports’ and ‘Gearbox Inspection & Assessment Reports’.  For example, when a Gearbox is overhauled by Geographe, the following tests are performed and results recorded:

  • Component Dimensions
  • Strip & Assess / Reassembly Checklists
  • No Load Test Run
  • Bearing & Oil Temperatures
  • Vibration Analysis
  • Leak Test
