Precision Software Development and Design

An in-house product development team at Geographe work behind the scenes with a suite of latest drafting software in order to create precision gearing. These include;

Solid Works – a 3D modelling and drafting software that illustrates a better view of parts and an increased understanding their fit.

Gear Calculation and Loading Carrying Capacity Software – ensuring that parts which are manufactured for purpose survive in specific applications in the field.

Geartrax – the gear manufacturing software module to the Solid Works programme, calculating tooth geometry and form meshing with mating parts. It is then linked into Geographe’s CAM software for manufacture.

Finite Element Analysis (FEA) Software – gives an indication of stress and deflection levels of components and assemblies when under specified loads. This enables Geographe to design for optimum product life.

The design and development software not only provides the ability to create innovative products but also ensures the design will work successfully in its particular environment and provides exact measurements for minimal waste during production, minimising costs.
