Top Drive Gear Box

Geographe’s Top Drive Gearbox offers exceptional reliability in drill rigs and embodies the following:

• Case carburised alloy steel gears to give a greater capacity and extended service life.
  
• An extended spindle on the top end, to take the standpipe jointing above the seals, to stop material leaking into the system.
  
• A purgeable top seal system, external face seal and slinger shroud above the seal area, for added protection against internal contamination.
  
• A heavy duty mechanical lower seal capable of accepting a head of oil above it. This provides an extremely reliable long life sealing system.
• Precision engineered componentry from an ISO 9001 accredited factory.

Our design has made this unit exceptionally reliable. Primarily, Geographe’s top drive gearbox is a bolt-on replacement for an Ingersoll Rand TH10 top drive, however, with some modifications, it is suitable for a number of machines and uses a standard drive configuration of two Charlynn 109-1116-4 hydraulic motors.
