Case Study

FAST TURNAROUND OF COMPLETE OVERHAUL

Geographe received the job of overhauling an Atlas H104 drill rig which had been operating in an underground gold mine for 10 years without prior refurbishment.

The very worn and battered rig was revived to new condition within an 8 week turnaround period.

The schedule of repairs and replacements involved:

• Supplied and installed reconditioned and retrofitted 2000 series feedrail
  
• Rebuilding the transmission and its components (including axles & gearboxes)
  
• Hydrostatic drive overhaul
  
• Engine overhaul
  
• Electrics re-wired
  
• All hosing replaced
  
• Entire Boom overhauled including turning devices and telescope set
